The Manager/Sr Manager of Sales Training will be charged with assisting in the continued build-out of a best-in-class sales training curriculum to support a sales force and a novel antipsychotic for the indications of schizophrenia and Bipolar Depression.

Job Responsibilities

Sales Training Execution Responsibilities and Deliverables
:
Responsible for supporting organizational training needs and the design, implementation, and evaluation of sales training programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of sales force team members. Apply adult learning principles to product, selling skills, market access and other training initiatives.

  • Responsible for ongoing administration of all new hire training programs
    • Act as the sales and sales training face of the company
    • Update all training materials for both home study and live sales training when required.
    • Facilitate courses in live remote sales training classes.
    • Schedule and arrange guests and speakers for initial sales training classes.
    • Schedule and conduct role play certifications
      • Manage Learning Management System content from a sales training perspective for both new hires and existing sales representatives.
      • Lead all operational training assignments under the direction of sales training leadership.
      • Partner with legal and compliance to ensure effective and timely roll out of compliance training, assessments, and certifications
      • Assist in the implementation of training needs assessments and the identification of training initiatives to address any gaps or opportunities
      • Leverage technology to create efficiency and enhance the learning experience
      • Facilitate Train the Trainer meetings
      • Develop workshop objectives tied to sales and brand strategy, and develop corresponding workshop content
  • Effectively manage vendor partners from the selection process through content development phase
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to train and optimize approved selling tools and promotional materials
  • Maintain training and development expertise (via research, benchmarking, and continuously seeking industry knowledge) to ensure ITCI sales training initiatives are on the cutting edge
  • Apply a story-based approach to learning and development initiatives
  • Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within the required timelines.

The role requires strong collaboration skills to work with key stakeholders in developing launch and ongoing training programs. Strong partnerships and open communications with Sales, HR, Marketing, Compliance, external partners, and US Commercial Operations required. This person will be responsible for ongoing development of a best-in-class new-hire training program. He or she will also contribute significantly to the development of advanced skills training. Upon approval of any future indications this individual will play an important part in executing the launch meeting, under the direction of and in collaboration with sales training leadership.

Job Requirements


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • A concentration in business, or education or Science/Biology/Medicine/pharmacy preferred, and Neuroscience experience is strongly preferred
  • Pharmaceutical Sales Representative experience required. Experience in 1st line Management a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales or sales training experience
  • Experience in Sales Training or adult learning/education required
  • Pharmaceutical Commercial Operations or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
